10th Anniversary Celebrations Wine Case

     Anniversaries are a time for reflection, appreciation and celebration.  As we reflect upon the past 10 years here at Mandolin, it has been our greatest pleasure and privilege to be a part of your anniversaries and celebrations.  Since libations are often an integral part of festivities, we have curated a very special case of wine to accompany your upcoming anniversaries and celebrations. NV Domaine Boutet Saulnier, Chenin Blanc, Sparkling, Vouvray, France.                          

"Bright yellow color with golden-white hints, fine and persistent bubbles.  The nose combines notes of citrus and white fruit aromas.  On the palate, the attack is fresh and lively, fruity aromas are enhanced by a long and elegant finish."

2020 Bonny Doon Vineyard, Vin Gris de Cigare Rose, Central Coast, California.  

71 Grenache, 11 Cinsaut, 5 Clairette Blanche, 5 Grenache Blanc, 4 Mourvedre, 4 Vermantino "Joyous aromas of strawberry are splashed with lemon juice and pink rose petals on the nose of this bottling. The palate tightens up a bit, providing melon, tangerine-cream and wet gravel flavors atop a chalky texture. WE 92 pts"

2020 Tenuta dell'Ugolino, Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC, "Vigneto del Balluccio", Marche, Italy.

"Unmatched harmony and elegance identify this award-winning Verdicchio. It presents with a strong golden yellow color and the bouquet recalls white flowers, sage, anisette and licorice. A full-bodied wine, it has a soft, velvety finish with light traces of vanilla."

2019 Talley's Vineyards, Bishop's Peak, Chardonnay, San Luis Obispo, California.           

"Brilliant straw. Pear nectar, peach and honey aromas are complemented by an emerging lemon pith nuance. Supple and broad in the mouth, offering sappy orchard and pit fruit flavors that slowly tighten up through the midpalate. Closes on a lingering floral note, with bitter citrus zest and tarragon notes sneaking in. Raised in a combination of stainless steel tanks and neutral, French oak barrels.  Vinoius 91pts"

2018 Montinore Estate, Pinot Noir, "Red Cap", Willamette Valley, Oregon.                            

"Red Cap" is the perfect reflection of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, sourced from sustainable vineyards around the valley. A warm vintage led to plush fruit flavors balanced by sturdy structure and judicious acidity."

2018 Bodegas Frontonio, Valdejalon Garnacha, "Microcosmico", Aragon, Spain.                

"Pale garnet, raspberry and strawberry over mineral, white pepper and roasted back ground pepper. MLF (malolactic fermentation)  and aging for 10 months in concrete vats creates an austere and floral, elegant, unbaked style. Dry, refreshing acidity, moderate fine tannins and muscular texture. A medium length, pure, complex wine."

2020 La Meridiana Riviera del Garda Classico DOC, Gropello, Lombardia, Italy.        

 "Groppello is an autochthonous grape varietal of the North-West side of Lake Garda, in the Lombardy Region. Its thin skin grants a red ruby color, with berries on the nose and some spices notes on the finish."

2020  Domaine de Maubet, Cotes de Gascogne, France.  

"This Tannat 50/Merlot 50 blend showcases radiant raspberry color with an invigorating scent of fresh red fruits.  Fresh, acidulous, and racy on the palate, with notes of exotic, small, black fruits.  Lively and dry finish, yet smooth and long lasting."

2015 Tenuta L'Impostino Montecucco Rosso, DOC Riserva, Toscana, Italy.                               

80 Sangiovese/20 Syrah, Merlot, Petit Verdot. "It is a succulent wine, with the texture and lively structure driving the plumb, eucaliyptus, tobacco and earth flavors. It is warm, soft, and full-bodied to taste, with a remarkable balance, where the freshness and the tannin balance the alcohol charge."

2018 Bench, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma County,California.  

 "The Bench Cabernet Sauvignon exudes a deep , dark purple color in the glass. The nose is vibrant with violets, huckleberry and a touch of vanilla spice. The palate is elegantly wound with dusty tannins and a supple, velvet texture. The long, seamless finish ebbs and flows with flavors of black currant, dark cocoa and black forest floor."

2020 Cantina di Casorzo Malvasia DOC "Epoca", Piedmonte, Italy 

 "Ruby-red, vibrant, slight effervescence. Characteristic rosy fragrance. The flavor is sweet and pleasantly aromatic. Matches well with desserts, fruit salads, as an aperitif, a drink for any party occasion."
